All relationships are a work in progress!
Our intimate relationships tend to be where the things we find most difficult in relation to others show up most strongly, and this can cause a great deal of frustration, confusion and pain. Relationships need growth, movement and connectedness in order to thrive, but sometimes life gets in the way and things can feel stuck or repetitive. Couples Therapy gives space to explore and get beneath the surface of what may be unfolding between two people.

Relationships (and people) change over time
Relationships are not fixed entities; they change, grow and flux over time and through life . The things we face as a couple; having children - or not, financial matters, navigating intimacy, changing careers, growing older, life loses, health, home moves and all the other numerous challenges of life can impact how a couple live and function together. Sometimes partners can feel very far apart from one another, and this is where therapy can help in the maze, so that a couple to begin to find their way back to each other.

All couples face challenges
Whether you are a new or long-established relationship, dealing with parenting or step-parenting issues, embarking on a separation, or just working out how you can grow together through whichever chapter of life you find yourselves at, couples therapy is a space to give your relationship the time, care and attention it deserves.

Long term relationships needn’t mean the end of intimacy
Quite the opposite in fact; long term partnerships have the potential for incredibly connected, joyful and fulfilling intimacy. However, sex can also become a very difficult or risky subject to broach together. If you both end up feeling hurt, angry, frustrated or rejected around this issue, couples therapy can provide a safe and neutral space to explore what is happening from both perspectives, and to look at what else may be possible.
